Spring 1909 resolved:

  • I misordered NTH! Intended to move to NWG and backfill NTH
  • Good for me: Austria offers peace, Turkey now attacks Russia, Russia greedy for German centres
  • Bad for me: Germany trying to ally Russia against me
  • Germany may try take NTH and Belgium from me
  • Or is Turkey actually moving to defend Russia?

Autumn 1909 movement

  • Hold NTH and cover Belgium for now
  • If I build at Edinburgh in Winter, I can get into SKA instead of NWG; better leave Russia alone if Russia can draw Austria’s focus
  • And if Russia is greedy for German centres, maybe I can roll Germany over
  • Russian fleet in BAL keeps Munich busy so I can take Paris with Burgundy supporting
  • Picardy to Brest to cover retreat, although I suspect France to bounce

So this is how I will move:

Autumn 1909 resolved:

Before builds:

  • Called the attack from Germany!
  • Russia is simply after German centres while trying to guard Norway from me; don’t think Germany changed the Russian’s mind
  • Turkey is stupid to attack Russia instead of holding Austria off together
  • Austria withdrew draw vote; probably planning to try for solo
  • Not sure why Austria took Naples with ION; now Russia may keep the fleet to take Tunis and harass Austria (which is good for me)
  • Build fleet at Edinburgh
  • Austria not enough centres to build two
  • Hope Russia does not disband TYS, and T builds fleet at Smyrna

Builds:

  • Russia: Disband TYS, BAL
  • Austria: A Tri
  • Turkey: F Smy
  • Russia: Disband Nor, BAL
  • Austria: F Tri
  • Turkey: F Smy

After builds:

  • Russia kept TYS and Turkey build Smy as hoped!
  • Russia disbanding the north means German can fully commit fighting me …
  • Austria basically cannot crack Turkey without sending another fleet
  • Austria’s fleet is supposedly to get rid of Russia’s fleet, but will make it harder for me to attack the Med later

Something extra:

  • Austria voted draw again; is the Austrian discouraged by Turkey’s defensive position?
  • As long as Russia and Turkey fight each other, don’t think Austria will attack me
  • No point drawing now, since if Austria cannot crack Turkey before I gain upper-hand against Germany, I may have higher solo chances
