When I started this blog, I intended to write about philosophy, movies, and games in general -- and I still do! But I am more than happy to respond to all the positive feedback I've gotten on my Diplomacy writings. I will continue writing about Diplomacy for the foreseeable future!
In my free time, I talk with my friends and family on all manner of topics. Frequently, I speak with them about philosophy, social issues, understanding people, film, and games.
Like so many thinkers, I prefer dialogue to writing. I enjoy "thinking out loud" and challenging my friends with my new ideas (or ideas that are new to me). I spend most of my free time engaged in dialogue. But unrecorded conversations disappear faster than they are created, like sandcastles built on the shore.
A few years ago, my younger brother (a fan) strongly encouraged me to put down and publish my thoughts. He persuaded me that my ideas are interesting enough that I should make the effort to publish them for the benefit of people who would enjoy considering what I have to say, but never get to meet me.
