End-of-1901 recap:

Spring 1902 movement

  • Liverpool – IRS to force MAO in Autumn
  • Bounce Russia at Norway, ideally Norway and Sweden stay neutral for as long as they can
  • Need to crack Burgundy, hopefully make the right guess to support Ruhr
  • But Germany may move Munich and take Holland with Ruhr in Autumn
  • If Italy cuts support at Marseilles, Belgium can support Ruhr to Holland

So this is how I will move:

Spring 1902 resolved:

  • Not too surprised by France, but definitely surprised by Germany. Moving troops away from French line?!
  • Silly Austrian fleet build spooked Italy to back off from France, bad for me
  • Germany may take both Norway and Sweden in Autumn, bringing the German to 7
  • What’s with Turkey’s Smyrna fleet build if Turkey attacks Russia?!
  • Why is Austria attacking everyone?!

Autumn 1902 movement

  • Ideally Germany support Belgium but cannot take the chances especially if I’m likely left to fight France alone . May as well hold with NTH; not the worst if Germany fights Russia
  • Supporting myself into MAO; potentially can take Brest next year

So this is how I will move:

Autumn 1902 resolved:

Builds

  • Germany: A Kie, A Ber
  • Russia: A War
  • Austria: A Bud
  • Germany: F Kie, A Ber
  • Russia: A War
  • Austria: A Bud
  • Russia is going to overextend itself by attacking Germany, plus no point showing intentions in Autumn
  • Although I will worry less about Russia’s 2 fleets
  • Why is Austria attacking Italy and Turkey at the same time? That’s likely a R+A v I+T
  • Italy moving west is good to me, but moving now is not
  • What’s with the Kiel fleet build? Ideally going to BAL, but 3 fleets is annoying for me to deal with later on
  • If Germany fights Russia and Italy get pulled by Austria, I’m back to 1v1 France which is bad
